Texas Nonprofit Summit

The Texas Nonprofit Summit is a two-day, nonprofit management conference presented in partnership with OneStar Foundation. The 2010 event brought together more than 700 nonprofit professionals, funders and community leaders to learn about innovative theories and practices impacting the nonprofit sector. Greenlights anticipates the 2011 Texas Nonprofit Summit will again host a sell-out crowd of nonprofit staff, board members, government representatives, grant-makers, engaged private sector professionals and other community leaders to come together and continue the nonprofit revolution that began in 2010.

Greenlights expects increased visibility for the summit this year due to the great success of the 2010 summit, increased capacity for up to 800 attendees at the AT&T Conference Center, and a more prominent statewide marketing plan that enlists the support of nonprofit leaders across Texas. Sponsors receive substantial marketing benefit not only to the Central Texas nonprofits in attendance, but also to the broader statewide audience of community leaders. All conference sponsors receive the opportunity to supply giveaway items and marketing materials for conference tote bags; recognition on Greenlights’ Texas Nonprofit Summit web page and in materials where our donors are listed; and invitations to Annual Supporter Lunch and periodic Eye on the Sector donor forums.

Board Summit

Greenlights provides resources and services to help our constituents build strong Boards of Directors, because strong boards provide strategic guidance, business expertise and connections to community resources that nonprofits need to be successful.

One of the ways we achieve this is through our annual Board Summit, an evening event that focuses on getting hundreds of business professionals excited about nonprofit board service, and also introduces them to local nonprofits currently seeking board members.

Nonprofit Excellence Awards

The Nonprofit Excellence Awards recognize outstanding achievements of Central Texas nonprofits in the categories of Collaboration, Service Excellence, Innovation and Learning in Action. The 2011 event will take place on the evening of September 8 during the Texas Nonprofit Summit and will join with the Onestar Foundation’s Governor’s Volunteer Leadership Awards. In addition to the conference participants, the event will be attended by business and community leaders and will feature a special keynote address and/or master of ceremonies.
