Our Values
History
In 2001, a group of local funders, nonprofit leaders, and community volunteers created Greenlights, realizing that Central Texas needed a place nonprofits could go for guidance on their management and governance issues. Since that time, we have grown our services to the point where we now directly support over 800 organizations and 2,500 individuals annually through a wide range of programs and services focused primarily on five key pain points felt by nonprofits: Financial Management, Resource Development, Board Excellence, Leadership Advancement, and Strategy & Planning.
Geographic Focus
Greenlights focuses on serving nonprofits in Central Texas, which includes Travis, Caldwell, Hays, Bastrop, and Williamson counties. From time to time we will work with individual nonprofits from the surrounding area, and all of our “free” services are accessible to anyone who wants to make use of them.
Accomplishments
2007 was a watershed year for Greenlights. We transitioned to a new Executive Director, recruited some great new Board members, grew our budget by more than 10%, and our consulting practice by 83%! See more 2007 accomplishments.
