Prepare to learn. Prepare to be inspired. And prepare to prepare.

I’m practicing my movie voiceover voice:

In a world where people change jobs… A land where Executive Directors don’t stay forever… A society where organizations’ priorities evolve…

There is an answer.

…That’s right. I’m talking about Executive Director transitions again. And during the next few weeks, the Greenlights Interim Executive Director pool members will be talking about ED transitions and how your organization can prepare for the inevitable in our IED Blog Series.

Planned or unplanned. Sooner or later. The time will come for your organization’s next Executive Director.

In January and February, our IEDs will share ideas and best practices focused on helping your organization prepare for an ED transition and how to get through it well. The first blog post in the series features Steve McKee’s explanation of Bridge‘s transition theory, which is incorporated into Greenlights’ approach, and will be posted tomorrow.

Prepare to learn about ED transitions. Prepare to be inspired about the power and opportunity in a transition. And prepare to prepare your own organization for an ED transition–whenever it comes.
