Internships
“My internship was an amazing experience. I loved learning from the people here at Greenlights, and the amount of knowledge everyone brings to the table is incredible. I really enjoyed the culture because it encouraged ingenuity and I felt like my opinions carried weight, even as an intern.”
- Blake Mankin, 2011 Greenlights Intern
Greenlights’ Internship Program is a great hands-on experience for anyone who is interested in learning more about the nonprofit sector while making an impact at the same time. We enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate student interns to support our work and provide valuable skill development to students.
Joining Greenlights as an intern requires a commitment of 12-15 hours per week, and the intern must be available at least three days per week with a regular schedule. We are happy to work with you if you would like to receive course credit.
Interns may choose to specialize in Consulting, Development, Marketing, Education, or Membership. Please indicate your preferences (if any) in your cover letter.
If you are interested, please contact Tara Levy with your resume, cover letter, and three references. In your cover letter, please be sure to describe your interest in the nonprofit community and your career goals.
To be considered as a Greenlights intern, please submit your application by the following deadlines:
Spring Semester (January-May): Application due by October 15
Summer (June-August): Application due by March 30
Fall Semester (August-December): Application due by April 30
