About the 501 Council
Do you want to learn more about the nonprofit community in Central Texas and have fun doing it? Greenlights’ 501 Council is a membership group for people who want to strengthen our local nonprofit sector.
The goal of the 501 Council is to:
- Strengthen our community by strengthening nonprofits
- Promote philanthropy
- Cultivate current and future community leaders
Council membership dues are pooled into a capacity fund and distributed through grants, enabling nonprofits to benefit from Greenlights’ consulting services.
In 2011, the 501 Council reviewed 54 grant applications and awarded three grants to: Little Helping Hands, My Healing Place and Austin Youth River Watch. Join now to impact our next grant cycle!
