Meeting Space For Members
Greenlights members receive access to free meeting space at the Mitte Carriage House and Greenlights' office. The spaces available are ideal for meetings, education programs, board retreats, staff training and special functions. Mitte Carriage House
Greenlights is proud to partner with the Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation (Mitte) to provide free use of the Mitte Carriage House facility to our members. The space is available on a first come, first serve basis, Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 9 pm and on Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm.
No more than 40 people are permitted at any one time inside the Mitte Carriage House, per applicable fire safety requirements, fire codes and ordinances.
To maintain the best possible facilities for our members, we have created a user agreement, which must be submitted to Greenlights prior to each use, at least three business days in advance of the desired meeting time.
The following amenities are provided:
Two kitchenettes, each containing a sink, microwave and refrigerator- Two unisex bathrooms (one is wheelchair accessible on the lower level)
- A 14’ x 22’ deck on the east side of the building
- Large conference table, which may not
be moved, and 10 conference chairs
(these are only available on the upper level which is NOT wheelchair accessible) - 10 five foot folding tables
- 40 cushioned guest chairs
- One telephone with local telephone service
- Wireless internet access
- A whiteboard, dry erase markers, eraser and cleaning solution
- Two easels and packets of flip chart paper and permanent markers
- LCD projector, projection screen, and projector cable for hooking up a computer
- A computer is NOT provided
For more details, see the user agreement. The Mitte Carriage House is located at 1008C West Avenue at the corner of West Avenue and 11th Street in downtown Austin (78701), situated behind the Mitte Foundation Offices and accessible from 11th Street.
Greenlights Meeting Rooms
As a current nonprofit member of Greenlights you are welcome to book your meetings at our offices for capacity building activities such as board training sessions, planning meetings, and collaborative discussions. Please see our guidelines for use below:
Meeting Space Availability:
Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm
Amenities:
- Easy accessibility to restrooms
- Kitchen with refrigerator, coffee maker, tea kettle
- Conference calling speakerphone capacity
Guidelines:
- Be a current Greenlights member
- Your meetings and events must be free of charge
- Leave a clean meeting room and kitchen as found
- Provide your own refreshments, supplies, copying needs
