Mitte Carriage House Meeting Space
Greenlights members are welcome to book gatherings at the Mitte Foundation Carriage House for capacity building activities such as board training sessions, planning meetings, and collaborative discussions. Once your request is completed we will contact you regarding availability and your reservation.
Mitte Carriage House
Greenlights is proud to partner with the Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation (Mitte) to provide use of the Mitte Carriage House facility.
The space is available to Greenlights members for free on a first-come, first-serve basis. Membership payment in full is due by the invoice due date (or the room reservation date – whichever comes first) or the reservation will be canceled. Members may request up to three dates per month, based on availability, on the following days/times:
- Monday - Thursday, 8 am to 9 pm
- Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
- On Saturday, the space is rented for $20/hour from 9 am to 5 pm
No more than 40 people are permitted at any one time inside the Mitte Carriage House, per applicable fire safety requirements, fire codes and ordinances.
To maintain the best possible facilities for our members, we have created a , which must be submitted to Greenlights prior to each use, at least five business days in advance of the desired meeting time. Additionally, the user checklist must be completed after each use of the facility.
IMPORTANT: Before submitting a reservation form, please check our meeting space calendar below to make sure the date and times you are requesting are available. In rare instances, office space reserved by members is needed for Greenlights’ programming and internal meeting purposes. In the event that a conflict arises, Greenlights reserves the right to cancel your space reservation, providing as much advanced notification as possible but no less than two weeks notice.
The Mitte Carriage House is located at 1008C West Avenue at the corner of West Avenue and 11th Street in downtown Austin (78701), situated behind the Mitte Foundation Offices and accessible from 11th Street. Map and directions to Mitte.
There are six free parking spots provided by the Mitte Foundation within the gates of the facility. Additional metered parking can be found on the surrounding streets. Please note Greenlights has no control over the rates and availability of street parking. More information about street parking can be found on The Official Web site of the City of Austin
Upper-Level Room Capacity (NOT wheelchair accessible):
Seats 10 around a large board table (configuration cannot be altered)

The following amenities are provided:
- Two unisex bathrooms (one is wheelchair accessible on the lower level)
- A kitchenette on each level, including a microwave, refrigerator and sink
- A 14’ x 22’ deck on the east side of the building
- 10 five foot folding tables
- 40 cushioned guest chairs
- Two speaker telephones with local telephone service and limited conferencing capabilities
- Wireless internet access
- A whiteboard, dry erase markers, eraser and cleaning solution
- Two easels and packets of flip chart paper and permanent markers
- LCD projector, projection screen, and projector cable for hooking up a PC computer. If you plan to use a MAC computer, you will need to provide your own adapter.
