Learn what to tell your donors and when and how to get your staff, board, and volunteers to be part of a successful fundraising team. Gregory Perrin and Michael Guerra team-lead this stimulating session on major gifts.
Michael G. Guerra, Management and Fundraising Consultant
Michael Guerra most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Capital Area Food Bank. His primary goal at CAFB was to implement a comprehensive fundraising program for an organization that must secure nearly $100K in revenue each week. Guerra also wrote and has taught the core fundraising class used at St. Edward's University in their nonprofit management program. Michael also serves as a development specialist in many of his volunteer roles. He is the fund development co-chair for the Board of Directors at Zachary Scott Theatre. He is also in the midst of leading the fundraising effort for one of Austin's newest and most exciting philanthropy projects: A Legacy of Giving.
Gregory Perrin, CFRE, The University of Texas at Austin

Gregory Perrin heads the advancement team at the University of Texas Libraries, a system of 12 academic libraries at the University of Texas at Austin. He has 13 years fundraising and nonprofit management experience. As a consultant, Mr. Perrin, has successfully counseled and trained numerous nonprofit organizations to plan and implement proven fundraising strategies. As a trainer, he has conducted several workshops, seminars and presentations on fundraising and board development. Gregory has worked at Houston Grand Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, AIDS Foundation Houston, and Greenlights for NonProfit Success. Gregory has a MFA degree from the University of Houston.
